| Chapter 1 & Chapter 2 | 2-1, 2-3, 2-7, 2-14, 2-15, 2-18, 2-19 Note error in question 2-18(c). Capacitance should be 0.033. Also, answers in back of book are wrong for many of the answers for this question. Also, you will need to use some equations from the book. For equation 2-49, the numerator should the number 1, not the variable I. Also, they messed up the phase calculations in the impedance in an RC circuit. To be done correctly, it should really be done with complex arithmetic. They throw out all that extra information and then put it back in incorrectly. The phase angle calculation (equations 2-43 and 2-45) should have a minus sign in front of the arctan function. This is because the reactance is a negative quantity. |
