Introduction

This is a tutorial for Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS), one of the most common surface analysis techniques.

Insides this tutorial, you can find basic concepts (like what's EELS and why EELS) in the Basics section. The fundamental theory and principles of EELS are presented in Theory section. From Experiment section, you can have a look at the common setup of an EELS experiment. In Resutls section, we'll discuss some typical EELS results to see what kind of information we can get from the results. For further study, you should look into the materials listed in Reference section.
