Following the tutorial sessions marked with an asterisk (*), a quiz will be posted on the course web page in the "Quizzes" section. It must be completed by the following Thursday morning at 9:00. You can complete the quiz anytime during the week. It is hoped that most students will complete and submit the quiz over the web. However, if you choose, you may print it out and answer it on the page, and hand it in to the appropriate instructor (DES or DT) following the same deadline. You can also write the answers to either of us in an email; just make sure that the connection between answer and question are clear. You are expected to work alone in answering the questions on each quiz, but you are free to use your textbooks and lecture notes in completing it. Each quiz is worth 2.5% toward your final mark. The quizzes will also be extremely valuable in preparing you for the midterm and final examinations.
