AIM

The world seems like a small place when you see it from the seat of a touring bicycle. Bringing a round the world trip down to human scale is the goal of the Full Circle Cycling Expedition. Full Circle starts rolling along in June 1996 after Chris and Natalie's wedding. Commencing in Vancouver, B.C., the route follows the west coast of North and South America, the east coast of Africa, the Middle East, West Asia, and North and South East Asia. (refer to route map)

Why travel by bicycle? To encounter landscapes, culture and people first-hand at a pace slow enough for real understanding... and to enjoy the satisfaction of self-powered travel and self-reliance.

PARTICIPANTS The Expedition participants are Chris Snyder and Natalie Edery. Chris is an environmental engineer and Natalie is an environmental chemist. Both are taking time off from careers in the environmental waste management/consulting industry. They are both 28 years of age. In addition to English, they have a basic knowledge of French along with some knowledge of Spanish and German. They met seven years ago at the University of Waterloo and have cycled together for the last five years, in both North America and Europe.
