Current project:
My research centers on the expression and purification of mutants of recombinant yeast elongation factor 2, which will be used to study the important residues involved in the interaction with both
Pseudomonas aeruginosa exotoxin A and diphtheria toxin. Mutant proteins will be tested for substrate activity against ADPRT toxins. I am also exploiting the use of caspases as specific proteolytic tools for protein characterization.
