These are some preliminary
results on diamonds which I decided to put here. The sample was
1.5x1.5 mm IIa diamond. It was irradiated by a UV pulse (337 nm,
~600 psec) with intensity 10E15 photons/pulse. Strictly speaking
this was rather a traditional microwave photoconductivity measurement
rather than the AMTMP. A photoresponse was measured at a resonance
frequency only (!). According to our previous page (AMTMP, experimental)
a great deal of speculations can be made in such a type of experiment.
Because the energy of a UV photon is smaller than a bandgap of
diamond the excitation of electron from a deep impurity (or defect)
level to conduction band could be involved. The almost perfect
exponential decay can be an indication of trapping to a single
defect level.
